Client: Florida Department of Transportation RS&H Role/Responsibility: Construction Engineering and Inspection Contractor/Construction Manager: Westra Construction Corporation Size: 1.7 miles		Project Description: The work under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, utility coordination, maintenance of traffic and other necessary items, including facilities and service, for the proper execution and completion of the construction of Bahia Vista Street from Cattlemen Road to McIntosh Road in Sarasota in order to convert it from a two-lane, rural road into a four-lane, divided urban highway. Work included earthwork, extensive utility relocation and installation, roadway, paving, bike lanes, drainage, traffic signalization, sidewalks, privacy walls, street lighting, landscaping, curb and gutter with all appurtenances and miscellaneous items.
